SENIOR DIRECTOR AND HEAD - LEGAL DEPARTMENT
Melissa B. Morangi is a partner in the Acme Vermont LLP operating in our Nairobi office. She is heading the Legal Department. She specializes in International Trade, corporate, mining, land and negotiations and agreements. She has experience in the above for a period spanning to 30 years twenty-five of which spent as a senior lecturer and legal officer of the Government of Kenya.
Melissa has a Masters Degree in International Trade Law from Leicester University, UK, Bachelor degree in law (LL. B) from Dares salaam University, Tanzania and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (Kenya Branch) and of the Law Society of Kenya
Melissa provides legal advice and transaction services to clients on matters relating to commercial transaction, mining issues, land (purchase, registration and transfers) and general agreements.
MARINE ENGINEER&HEAD TEAM RESEARCHER
Morembe is a passionate and highly motivated young Marine Engineer, who serves on the research team at Acme Vermont. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is registered as Graduate Engineer by the Engineers Board of Kenya.
Morembe has served and contributed to large scale projects at the port of Mombasa, gaining experience in marine construction processes, material selection and quality control procedures. He is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, environmental stewardship and protection of marine ecosystems. He has leveraged on technical expertise and practical experience gained to advance into leadership role within Acme Vermont. His role is key in advising start-ups and other firms in driving growth and innovation in the maritime sector in Kenya and elsewhere at large
DIRECTOR AND HEAD OF TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS
Kwegena Simba Morangi is a partner in the Acme Vermont LLP operating in our Nairobi office. He heads transport and Logistics departments. He specialises in organising all relevant documentation, clearances, permits and licences involved in the movement of consignments as well planning the shortest yet efficient and most economical routings.
He has over 14 years’ experience in the transport sector. A pilot by profession, who is lucky enough to be operating in both the Airline as well as General aviation sectors. He has Administrative knowledge and experience having been involved in the setup and certification of several Aviation Companies.
He has also worked in the Flight operations additionally Safety departments of several AOC’S and later after a successful interview by KCAA became safety manager for a period of 2 years. This has allowed him to gain vast knowledge in the African topography, having flown and operated all over Africa.
He has also worked and continues to work, closely with the UN in delivery of humanitarian aid to various remote areas mainly facing clashes. Finally he owns and runs an air charter service involved in the movement of VIP’s as well as medevac flights.
Business Development, Operations and Human Resource expert
Nancy is Business Development Lead at our Acme Vermont Nairobi office. She brings much needed skills and experience in developing various types of businesses for clients from her previous work.
Nancy is Business Development, Operations and Human Resource expert for 10+ years experience. She has served in posts such as Business Development & Operations Manager; Human Resources & Audit Officer; Human Resources and operational Audits Consultancy; and Credit Controller & Debt Collection Officer, which have given the requisite skills and experience.
She has distinguished herself through success in establishing relationships, systems, and high-quality processes. She is reputable in sales pipelines, expanding business revenue stream, operational excellence, and human resources processes.
Nancy has a proven track record of increasing revenue and leveraging on business expansion opportunities. She Works well with cross-functional teams to realize success. She is a keen Strategic planning and succession knowledge sharing expert.
Nancy is adept at leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making and foster sustainable growth. She has gained tremendous recognition for exceptional leadership, innovative problem-solving, and effective communication skills. Committed to delivering exceptional client satisfaction and creating long-term value for stakeholders.
Nancy is holder of a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management degree from the Kenya Methodist University she obtained in 2009.
Lead for Administration, Human Resource Management & Development and Procurement
Charles is the Lead for Administration, Human Resource Management & Development and Procurement at Acme Vermont.
He brings with him a 41years long illustrious professional career honed in Public Service, rising from the entry level of Clerk to Senior Management level.
The career includes 20years (2003 to 2023) of committed service and experience in efficient Records Management and Human Resource Management & Development.
Charles also offered service dedicated to recruitment and selection of qualified staff across various cadres; facilitation in processing of staff promotions and appreciations; Implementation of Staff Performance Appraisal System; and Maintenance of Updated Staff Establishments.
Prior to that, for twenty-one years as from 1982 to 2003, he served and obtained valuable skills and experience in Procurement & Supplies Management, which he continues to apply to present time.
Charles is holder of a Diploma in Information Technology from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology – Nairobi; National Certificate in Archives & Records Management from Inoorero University (Parklands - Nairobi); Diploma in Supplies Management from the Kenya School of Government (Matuga); and Certificate in Senior Management Course from the Kenya School of Government (Mombasa), among other qualifications obtained during his long professional career in Public Service.
